Free Range Morrison’s is the nickname we have been given by some of our family and friends who by the way probably think we are crazy! Around a month ago Sarah and I were faced with a tough decision, our house was already under contract and we had made plans to live in a stationary camper for a year in Uwharrie, NC.

Sarah had already turned in her 30 day notice at the school where she was teaching at and was preparing our kids home school curriculum. I was already working in Uwharrie and commuting over 1 hr one way! Suddenly all of our plans changed when my position with the company I was training for was terminated and the business Sarah and I had built was brought to a halt due to land use agreements. We had just put an offer in on a lot that we had planned on placing our camper on permanently, thankfully our offer was not accepted. We had to make a choice, continue with our move and lose all of the income from the house, buying a lot or we could hit the road and see what happened!

For us it wasn’t an easy decision but was a great opportunity to explore what this beautiful country has to offer with our two young boys!
