Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an off-road vehicle?

Not always. Some of our training programs require participants to bring their own properly equipped 4WD vehicle, while others may offer alternative options depending on the class. Each training event clearly lists any vehicle requirements so you’ll know exactly what to expect before registering. If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is suitable, contact us—we’re happy to help you determine if it’s ready for the trail.

Can beginners attend?

Absolutely! Many of our students have little or no off-road experience. Our beginner-friendly classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of safe off-road driving, vehicle operation, trail etiquette, and recovery techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment. We meet you where you are and help you build the confidence and skills needed to enjoy future adventures safely.

What should I bring?

The recommended gear varies depending on the class, but you’ll generally want to bring weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy closed-toe shoes or hiking boots, water, snacks or lunch for full-day classes, sunscreen, a hat, and any personal medications you may need. If you’re bringing your own vehicle, we’ll provide a list of recommended equipment before your class. We also encourage participants to bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn—those are some of the most important tools you’ll need!

Do you offer private training?

Yes! We offer private one-on-one instruction as well as customized training for families, groups, clubs, and organizations. Private training allows us to tailor the curriculum to your experience level, vehicle, and specific goals, giving you personalized coaching and hands-on instruction at a pace that’s comfortable for you.

Can families attend?

Absolutely! Family is at the heart of everything we do. We believe some of life’s best memories are made outdoors, and many of our training programs and guided adventures are designed with families in mind. Whether you’re introducing your children to responsible outdoor recreation or creating a weekend adventure together, we strive to provide a welcoming, encouraging environment where everyone can learn and grow.

Where are classes held?

Our classes are held at a variety of carefully selected locations that provide safe, realistic off-road training environments. Training sites may include off-road parks, private properties, and public trail systems depending on the course. Each event listing includes the exact location and any important travel information. We also offer customized training at client locations for qualifying private, commercial, and organizational groups.
