I've now done the Level 1 Off-Road Driving class, the Vehicle Recovery class, and most recently the guided trail ride at Windrock Park with Morrison's Outdoor Adventures, and I can't recommend them enough. The earlier classes were a mix of classroom and hands-on time behind the wheel and with the recovery gear. The trail ride was where it all came together. The team did a great job connecting the concepts from the classroom and the skills we built in the classes to real trail situations. What stood out most was the spotting and coaching. They didn't just tell us where to put our tires — they picked lines based on each person's specific vehicle (I drive a full-size F-150 Tremor, which takes different lines than the Jeeps) and always explained the WHY behind every decision. That's what actually builds confidence and makes you a better driver when you're out on your own. If you're getting into off-roading or want to sharpen your skills, take their classes and then do a trail ride with them. Worth every penny. Five stars.

The wife and I First time offroading!! We wanted a family friendly group to go with. We did the coach & drive with Mike and Morrison's Outdoor Adventures! We had a blast and learned alot about our rigs. I was nervous and intimidated at first, but Mike quickly gave us the confidence and courage to conquer the trails at Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway in Kentucky. We can't wait to hit the trails with them again!

This is the best off road training I have ever been involved with. Mike is a master trainer and it shows. He is very detailed and explains everything masterfully. I learned so much from this class!! Morrison' Outdoor Adventures is the BEST. Grew up wheeling. Dad had a scout II built up and big with a hemi in 1975. Loved it. Wife and I built some incredible rigs. Then life hit us and 15 years of limited off-road excursions. Just built a JT and the Morrison's helped us break it in. Mike instills confidence straight away. Sarah has a ton of energy and is so fun. They both smile all the time and both know what they are doing and the experience gives you confidence in the next obstacle. If things feel off, the reassuring smile from Mike will calm you in the seat, even when things feel overwhelming. Mike knows vehicles, vehicle placement and characteristics, and a lot of history. Went on a private 2 day excursion with MOA, my family, my in-laws and 2 dogs. It was absolutely perfect! They created a trip to our exact specifications. We visited historical sites, hiked on a few trails and on day 2 went off roading on the Daniel Boone By way. It was the ideal trip that was fun for everyone in the family...young and old. MOA is who I trust with my family for safety and a good time! Book a trip with them...you will not regret it!

Mike was an amazing instructor! It doesn't matter if this is your first time off-road or your hundredth.... you will learn something! He doesn't just teach you how to drive off-road, but teaches how your vehicle works. His instructions are clear & concise. His wife Sarah is also very knowledgeable and helpful. The Morrisons are extremely friendly and welcoming so no matter what skills you have or don’t have, they’ll take care of you. Mike, Sarah and Steven are professional and patient, keeping safety of the drivers and passengers first. They are also good stewards of the environment. MOA instructional events are good for seasoned off-roaders or someone who wants to learn in a safe, no pressure setting. Oh yeah, and it’s a lot of fun.

Took my new Rivian out to Bells Reserve. Mike and Sarah were wonderful. I’m not experienced and they made me really comfortable and we had a great time. Highly recommend!

Mike and Sarah Morrison believe that some of life’s greatest memories are made around campfires, on scenic trails, and during adventures shared with the people you love most. Mike is certified by the International 4 Wheel Drive Trainers Association and is a Master Tread Trainer for Tread Lightly! With more than 14 years of experience in off-road driving and vehicle recovery instruction, he has trained military, commercial, and recreational organizations, including Special Forces, Navy SEALs, Rangers, Duke Energy, and many others. His hands-on training approach is designed to help every participant gain the confidence and practical skills needed to safely operate their vehicle in real-world off-road environments.

What began as a passion for off-roading has become a mission to help others build confidence, strengthen relationships, and experience the beauty of God’s creation.
