Let’s talk about how it has been living in the camper since the beginning of March. I absolutely LOVE it so far! Now this may change over time and I will let you know if it does!
It is such a simple way of living which is great and freeing! It only takes me a total of 20 minutes to do all of the cleaning that needs to be done, so I am not wasting my whole day trying to maintain a clean house. Not to mention that I can keep it clean everyday because it is so quick to do. And I love a clean house!!!! Stuff everywhere isn’t an issue anymore because there isn’t any room to have stuff everywhere, ha. Which is so nice because when one of us receives a package it can no longer just sit on the table until a later time. Our table is way to small for anything but eating, there is no extra room for a storage space at the end. So we are basically forced to put it up immediately, which leads to a cleaner home.
I thought I wouldn’t be happy with a smaller bedroom than we could have gotten in a camper. But in reality just like with our home the only thing we do in there is sleep! I am so thankful we went with the bigger living area because that is where the four of us spend the majority of our time. Spending all this time together as a family as allowed us to grow closer to each other.
Let’s be real though, there is NO privacy when you live in a camper. I mean really there are no locks on ANY of the doors. We had to have a real quick lesson on when a door is shut you knock before you open it. For the most part the boys have a been great about it and it hasn’t been a huge issue.
One afternoon I was sitting in the living area by myself after I had finish cleaning and thought to myself how much I love my “tiny house”. When Mike and I watched Tiny House hunters a couple of years ago, it was our dream to have one eventually when the kids were older. Never in a million years did I think we would be living tiny with two growing boys and two dogs. I wouldn’t change it though!
