FAQ
Which class should I take first?
If you’re new to off-roading, we recommend starting with our Level 1 Off-Road Driving Class. Whether you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle, this introductory course is designed to teach the fundamentals of safe off-road driving, vehicle capabilities, trail etiquette, and proper driving techniques. If you’re unsure which class is right for you, we’re happy to help you choose the best training based on your vehicle, experience level, and goals.
What's the difference between AWD and 4WD training?
Our training is tailored specifically to the type of vehicle you drive. AWD (All-Wheel Drive) classes focus on the unique capabilities and limitations of all-wheel-drive vehicles, while 4WD (Four-Wheel Drive) classes cover techniques and features commonly found in traditional off-road vehicles such as Jeeps, Broncos, and trucks equipped with four-wheel-drive systems. By separating the classes, we ensure every participant learns the safest and most effective techniques for their specific vehicle.
Can I bring passengers?
Yes! Many of our classes allow passengers, and we encourage families and friends to experience the adventure together. Passengers must meet any age requirements for the specific class, follow all safety guidelines, and remain seated with their seatbelt fastened while the vehicle is in motion. Some classes offer discounted passenger pricing, making it easy to share the experience with someone special.
Do I need recovery gear?
No. While recovery gear can be helpful, it is not required for most beginner training classes. During our courses, we’ll teach you about essential recovery equipment, how it works, and when it should be used. If you’re attending one of our recovery-specific classes, we’ll let you know in advance if there are any recommended items to bring. Our goal is to help you understand recovery equipment before investing in your own gear.
What if I don't own an off-road vehicle?
Don’t let that stop you from reaching out! Some of our experiences may have vehicle requirements, while others may offer alternative options depending on the event. If you don’t currently own an off-road vehicle but are interested in learning, contact us. We’ll discuss your goals and recommend the best training opportunities available to help you get started.
Can I book a private group?
Absolutely! We offer customized private training for individuals, families, clubs, businesses, churches, military units, commercial organizations, and other groups. Private sessions allow us to tailor the training to your group’s experience level, vehicles, and objectives while providing personalized instruction in a more flexible setting. Contact us to discuss your needs, and we’ll create an experience that’s right for your group.
What should I pack for an excursion?
We recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy closed-toe shoes or hiking boots, plenty of water, snacks, any required medications, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and a camera to capture the incredible scenery. If your excursion includes camping, we’ll provide a detailed packing list before your trip so you’ll know exactly what to bring. Our goal is to help you arrive prepared so you can relax, enjoy the adventure, and focus on making unforgettable memories.
Your Adventure Starts Here
