Wow, how has it already been a year since we sold our house, bought a camper and started this adventure!!!  This past year has been a wild ride to say the least.  Mike and I started our own business, sold our house, and moved into a camper only for the pandemic to hit and put everything into slow motion.  Not only slow motion but a dead STOP!  We had plans, big plans!  We were all set to travel the United States with our boys and dogs.  It was going to be the times of our lives!  Then everything shut down and so did we.  Not all of the past year was bad though, so please don’t think I am saying that.  We were able to spend three months at the same campground as Mike’s mom, which was so good for all of us. Then we came to western North Carolina and fell in love with the area.  So, we may not have been able to travel yet, which we are very sad about, however we have found a place we can call home. At least for the time being and probably years to come!

Beginning of March, which is right around the corner, will be a year since living in a camper.  I get asked often if I really like living in a camper and guess what……I DO!!!  Yeah, sure the space is small and sometimes we are stepping over each other and don’t even get me started on cooking in that entirely too small kitchen!  But 100% I love living in a camper.  It is so simple and easy to keep clean.  I couldn’t imagine moving back into a full size house, I would feel lost. We took a vacation right after Christmas to Boone, we stayed in a very nice cabin. To me it was too big.  We were all in our different spaces and not interacting like we do in the camper.  See the nice thing about the small space, other than keeping it clean, is we have to deal with each other and can’t really get away.  Sure we can go in our bedrooms for privacy but for the most part we are a family that likes time together.

So, anyways I told you a year ago when we started this adventure I would keep you updated on how living in a camper was going and here is my update!
