Beyond the Pavement is a monthly in-person and virtual off-road and overland skills series designed to help you build confidence, capability, and community.
Each session focuses on practical knowledge you can apply on real trips, including vehicle recovery, trail preparedness, gear use, trip planning, and safe off-road techniques. Whether you’re just getting started or already experienced, these sessions deliver real value in a welcoming, down-to-earth environment.
Month Three Topic: What the Diff?
Learn how differentials work, how they are affected by traction control devices, and about regearing your vehicle.
This same topic will be taught at both Kentucky and North Carolina sessions for the month, so you can attend the location that works best for you.

What to Expect
In-person attendees will experience live instruction, vehicle walk-throughs, and community discussion.
Virtual attendees will receive full access to the live session from anywhere.
Events are hosted monthly by Morrison’s Outdoor Adventures and Spartan Overland and are built around practical learning, responsible trail use, and helping people explore further with confidence.
