As I sit at the table working and watching the snow fall here in Western North Carolina I can’t help but remember back to a couple of weeks ago when we received over 8 inches of snow.  Waking up at 4:30 a.m. to a glow outside the camper I knew it had to be snowing!  I felt like a little girl on Christmas Day.  I quietly got out of the bed to go check the windows to see if my prediction was right.  And it was!  I love the sight of fresh falling snow and when it starts to stick to the ground covering everything in white.  It is so pure and majestic in its own way.  It may sound crazy but freshly falling snow, once the ground is covered, brings me peace and just makes my heart happy.  The joy snow brings to kids and adults (that enjoy the snow that is) will never cease to amaze me.  The first night after the snow was done falling from the sky it was  as almost as bright as day out there.  Walking around in the night you couldn’t hear any noises.  It was like a peace had come over the world.  A peace that I think so many of us long for in today’s world.  Peace that everything is ok in the world, that there is no worrying or stress to be had. If only that peace would last even without the snow!

Watching the boys play in the snow with their friends brought joy to me.  Then that night again when they played in the snow with some camperhood friends of mine!  Don’t worry I also had my fun that night sledding down a hill here at the camperhood! It was like an inner child was released in all of adults sledding that night! So much fun was had by all!

Anyways, I just thought I would share with you all the meaning of snow to me! Especially today, as I get to set here and watch it fall as I am working! At least it is something beautiful to look at as I am worrking!! 🙂

I feel the same about snow, taking a peek out of the window late at night to watch it fall and yes, it’s very peaceful.
